“I ordered 2 pairs of the Hudson Waterproof boot as I was unsure of my size, having had to return boots from two different tassel boot manufacturers due to the sizing as a size 7 was too small and size 8 was too large. Although I have a wide-ish foot, I bought the standard calf width as I have slim calfs and this size was perfect for me. The Hudson boot from Bareback is lovely; it's well made, fleece lined on the footbed and warm enough for the winter months. They are waterproof and very comfortable. I found the size 7.5 the best fit for me and returned the size 7. These are now my 'go to' footwear for the winter and I've not had them off my feet since buying them. There's one area where these boots could be improved, and that's the buckle design. The boots are not quick to put on due to having to fasten two buckles on each boot and this is not an easy task. The buckles could be improved by having a 'roller bar' buckle to so that the leather strap doesn't drag as it's drawn through the buckle to fasten it. But this wouldn't put me off buying another pair; it's the fit that's important and these boots are a lovely fit, hence the 5 stars. Very happy with my purchase.”

“Very pleased with my boots. They are exactly true to size (I also ordered the larger size to be safe, but really not necessary!) I purchased for dog walking/country walks, I'm not a rider. They are comfortable and stylish and I've had lots of compliments. Be aware they are quite a tight fit, even on my skinny legs (!) so ideal for wearing over leggings and skinny jeans. They will not zip up over straight leg jeans.”
