I'm very sorry to hear you had such trouble with the kilt pins, I've just checked and I think the plating on the ends of the pins is slightly less smooth as a result of being closed before the plating was completely dry. Normally of course I'd say send them back for a refund but that's no help here obviously, many apologies. If you'd like to get in touch before ordering any more we'll check them for you.
