“TLDR: The monitor has a great screen look, but it’s plagued by connectivity issues and a high price tag.
I purchased this monitor during Black Friday 2024 and have been using it for about a month now. Here are my initial impressions:
Pros:
- The screen is incredibly pleasant to look at. It’s a joy to work with, and my eyes don’t feel strained at the end of the day or night. The text is incredibly crisp, which is probably the best screen quality I’ve encountered so far.
- The monitor is well-constructed and feels sturdy.
- The MoonHalo feature is a nice touch.
Cons:
- The refresh rate is quite disappointing at 60Hz. It’s frustrating for tasks that require a higher refresh rate, such as scrolling long documents.
- The connectivity issues are particularly frustrating. Despite having multiple ports, I’m experiencing a problem that makes the KVM function virtually useless. When I switch from one connected device (e.g., a notebook via USB-C) to another (e.g., a Mac Mini via HDMI), the other machine will sleep after about 15 minutes. There’s no way to wake it up until I open the notebook lid or connect a Bluetooth device to the Mac Mini.
- The price is quite high for the issues I’ve encountered so far.
- All the USB-A ports are facing down, which is inconvenient for having cables (e.g., webcams) pointing down. It would be better if some USB-A ports were at the back of the monitor, allowing cables to be hidden.
In summary, it is a very nice monitor. However, given my experience so far, I neither recommed or disrecommend this monitor,”
Thank you, Rodolfo, for sharing your detailed feedback about the RD320UA. Your input is invaluable, and we’re grateful for the time you’ve taken to share both the positives and areas where we can improve. We’re glad you’re enjoying the screen quality, sturdy build, and MoonHalo feature, but we understand the frustration with the KVM and Mac Mini sleep behavior.
For the Mac Mini issue, you can adjust the Energy Saver settings by enabling "Prevent automatic sleeping when the display is off" in System Preferences > Energy Saver (or Battery). This should keep the Mac active even when the monitor is switched to another input. Additionally, enabling "Power Awake" in the monitor settings under System > Power Awake may also help maintain connectivity.
If these adjustments don’t resolve the issue, please reach out to us at benqsupport.us@benq.com or call 866-600-2367. We’d love to assist further to ensure your experience meets your expectations.
Thank you for choosing BenQ, and we value your feedback as we strive to improve.

“The monitor hardware is everything they claim... Display Pilot 2 software is not. It keeps forgetting my settings for the iKeyboard stuff for volume and screen brightness. It forgets them everytime I boot the software and it crashes often so it has to be reset often. Also forgets these settings at random time even if its doesn't crash. Oddly it remembers all the other settings. This feature is primarily why i bought this over the Dell ~32" 4k so I am not happy. They also want me to create an account to do things that don't require an account. That just annoys me. I say buy a Dell instead. There is too much marketing with Benq and not enough "works as described."”

We have a solution to address the resetting and crashing problems. Please allow us time to create a service case, and we’ll reach out to you directly. “I couldn’t connect over USB C. I tried both USB C ports on the monitor with a TB4 cable from a MacBook M4 and nothing happened. Also tried using the cable that came with the monitor and also got nothing.
The monitor arm also doesn’t allow for the monitor to be super far back on your desk. If you want the monitor directly in front of you, you’ll want to position the monitor arm off to the left/right side and then angle it accordingly.”
Hello Seamus,
Thank you for your feedback regarding the USB-C connection. Please ensure you’re using the correct USB-C port designated for display input/output, as shown in the provided diagram. This might resolve the connection issue.
If the issue persists, feel free to contact us at benqsupport.us@benq.com or 866-600-2367, and our team will be happy to assist further.
