“I find the 550 springer ideal for anchoring a medium sized boat at sea. I have two on a springer rope attached to main anchor rope to take the jolt from waves. They are easily attached and wind rope around to adjust length of springer rope.”

We've investigated this, and it looks like the product you were sent is from a batch which may have had some quality issues.
