“Well, it is certainly differnet. Mixed with soda or on its own, there is rather too much of the acetic acid on the nose for my liking. However, mixed with a good slug of fresh apple juice and then topped up with soda is good. I haven't yet tried it with tonic, but I expect that will just make it more bitter withiut masking the acetic acid smell.
Mixed 20ml with 40ml of Martini Vibrante and then topped up with soda makes the closest to a non alcoholic Americano cockatil that I have managed to achieve so far and that is very good, bordering on excellent, so I am please with my purchase. Having said that, I feel it is unlikely that I would subscribe.
I shall keep experimenting with the other recipes that are provided and some of my own.
Botivo is certianly far and away better than any of the Three Spirits offerings, but I am not at all sure that Botivo is worth the price when compared to Martini Vibrante topped up with tonic water, which is the perfect level of bitterness for me without the acetic acid smell.”
“Tried this hypnotically great drink when first released, and hands down (when mixed correctly- don’t overdo the Botivo, I prefer a single shot with around 200ml of mixer) the single best slow drink of its breed.
