“Although not installed yet all the pieces look to be top quality and exactly as described and expected. The helpful guide and YouTube video should result in a good finished job.”
“Previously ordered and installed the shower seal and ordered the bath seal this time. This product is, as advertised and an excellent, easy product to use. The online video tells you all you need to know and do to achieve a perfect job.”
“When compared to just using silicone this is an expensive solution but if like me, and despite buying every tool available you can never get a clean finish then this is a great solution.
Buying it direct seems to be the most cost effective and the ordering was easy and delivery prompt, and when I thought I was missing some items the customer support was quick to respond and correctly advised me to look in all the packaging which is where i found the missing items.
The instructions, and youtube video are informative and easy to follow. I did have to make a slight modification to allow one of the sides to go round the taps but I found the plastic easy to cut and with a bit of sanding gave a professional looking finish.
The plastic is hard, and easy to clean, looks more like a tile than plastic trim and hopefully it won't discolour as quickly the plastic trim it is replacing has.
It is easy to cut, although there is a leap of faith required when you scour and snap.
There is sufficient silicone to do the job. I already had one but if you don't you will need a Silicone Profiling Tool.
I used white spirits to remove the previous silicone and scrapers that I already had so although you need something, you don't necessarily need to buy those being offered.
It is not a subtle look, so will not be to everyone taste, I like it and I am more confident about it preventing any leaks than anything I have used before and it allows a DIYer to produce a professional looking finish.
If it were half the price it would be a no brainer, but it is a more solid material than the pictures would suggest so maybe the price is justified in the sense that it is closer to using a ceramic trim moulding than it is using silicone or sealant tape.”
