Eclipse Rainsheet Combo Horse Rug 4.6FT / Purple Reviews

4.4 Rating 51 Reviews
I have been purchasing Caribu waterproof rugs for years and years and years. I have also tried over the years many top brands. Nothing fits as well, has taken the comfort of horse into consideration, has the features, fit or quality for the price. I will not buy any other brand now.

This rug absolutely does what it says! Keeps horses bone dry in the rain and is breathable! (Though I did test it out in rain in summer 29degrees ish and it was too much for my geldings, as it claims to be good for summer months) I took one star off because it would be 5* if the neck was about 10cm longer to the poll, it is a little short for my liking. The quality is amazing as with all caribu rugs. My two have been in constant rain for 36hours with their rugs on in this photo and they are totally dry and comfortable underneath.

I love the design of this rug (deep drop, decent tail flap, and the generous size fits my draught horse beautifully). The fixtures and materials used are durable and quality. The breathability is great with the mesh lining and this rug is waterproof. Very fairly priced too.

I just purchased a yearling QHx filly and her paddock is absolutely freezing at night at the moment. I was desperate to find a rug that would fit her guesstimated size and found one Eclipse left in stock at my local pet shop. Admittedly it is a little big, but in saying that, she has room to grow in to it and it doesn't move at all! I come out to remove her rug of a morning and she's filthy from rolling but the rug is firmly in place. Very happy and a very reasonable price too. Thanks for such a great product!

I don't normally buy synthetic rugs being in North QLD but all my horses have one of these rainsheets and they are great! I mainly use them as a top coat over light rugs underneath for warmth and protection from the wind & cold in winter but they are great rainsheets as well. In the February 19 floods I had one horse outside through all the rain due to lack of stables and we just threw the rainsheet on her and she stayed warm & dry through over 600mm of rain over a week and a half even when it was pouring hard. The mesh lining seems to allow airflow under the rugs and I found even though it was the middle of summer I didn't have any trouble with the horses sweating under the rainsheet through all the rain in February. Great quality and good fitting rug. Also love that they are lightweight as I tend to layer rugs in winter. Love the colour range as well!

I bought my 1200 denier combo from a friend up in Darwin, who found the weather too humid for a synthetic rainsheet. She sold it to me brand new, and I'm delighted with it! My horse does get hot in synthetics if it's sunny, but I found this to be the most waterproof rainsheet I've tried. Because it's slightly large for him, it will also fit over his warm winter rugs, and keep him snug and dry in heavy rain. However, because of the great cut and fit of Caribu rugs, even being slightly large, it still fits comfortably, and doesn't move. I love the long drop, as he's quite (ahem) wide for an Arabian! (Read: could eat for Australia!) Other brands of rugs are often a bit short in the skirt department for him, but Caribus fit so well. My boy looks after his clothes, and I rarely have to mend anything. I'm very happy with your range! I'm gradually switching his wardrobe to predominantly Caribu.
