So sorry to hear that you thought that the piece actually produced sound! The word "Laughing" in the title was used to describe the design -- the character's face looks like it's laughing. Johanna Parker named the pieces herself. If an item produces noise, we always include that in the product description as well as a video, and any additional requirements (batteries required etc.).
