I’ve not made it up yet, but it looks good. I love the black and white spotty fabric for the facings

Lovely fabric and print. Instructions seemed quite confusing and the section about inserting the placket had some information missing. Also, the instructions at times referred to the kit being for a 1 to 2 year old child! Had to abandon the placket and insert a zip instead. Pleased with finished item.

Very easy to make and the instructions are clear with various options/methods for some sections of sewing/techniques. I read the instruction carefully for the insertion of the placket (to the notch) but then relied heavily on the illustration which showed a stitching line to the end (for me). When I got to the 'sew up the back seams' stage, I did that carefully and then discovered my placket error: fortunately, I was able to salvage the 'mistake' without having to disturb the necessary stitching for the garment. Phew! It was a delightful project to finally complete (having cut it out in the first lockdown, I rediscovered it last week and my daughter encouraged me to sew it for her Christmas Jumper Day and Dinner yesterday.) She wore it well. Previously I had sewn her the younger girl's skirt kit, as well as the hat and purse kit. The buttons I used on the dress were chosen as a result of the one I used on the purse. And although I had purchased the Liberty print lining for the dress, I chose to use one from my lining stash which was similar to the lining I used for the skirt, hat and purse (but in contrasting/opposite colour scheme) if you can see in the photos. Items to keep for her daughter in years to come...
