Used this for years - perfect balance. Disappointing as in the last month the price has increased so much in a very short time. With the carriage charges may have to shop elsewhere. .

Hi Gill, Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts with us! We're so glad to hear that you love our Divine 70% Dark Chocolate and appreciate the delicious balance - it's always wonderful to receive positive feedback from loyal customers like you. We are so sorry for the frustration our recent price rise has caused. We've included some context for these price rises below as we have always strived to be as transparent as possible. As you may have seen in the news or online, the cost of buying cocoa and cocoa butter has risen by over 93% since early 2024 and is now the most expensive we've ever known it to be – even trading at a higher price than copper at one point. Given the high percentage of cocoa in some of our products compared to our competitors, these increases have hit us harder than most. We’ve worked extremely hard to avoid raising our prices, initially absorbing the rising costs. This was not sustainable, however, and with cocoa costs continuing to rise we sadly have to increase our prices. We choose to not sacrifice quality to keep prices low, and you will find that Divine Chocolate continues to offer the same rich cocoa quality as always. We are proud to buy our cocoa from the Kuapa Kokoo farming collective in Ghana who have suffered from poor harvests due to adverse weather conditions. We are deeply committed to ensuring that these farmers - who co-own the Divine business and receive a share of all profits made - receive fair prices for their hard work, which is essential to providing them with a sustainable livelihood and developing the communities in which they live. We're so grateful for your custom and do hope you'll continue to support Divine and the farmers of Kuapa Kokoo, but of course understand if that's no longer possible. Best wishes & warm regards, The Divine Chocolate Team

Exactly the right balance.

I still really like the smooth taste but such a shame that the moulded shape of the bar was changed as it’s now irregular and not easy to break off into even segments. No longer a sharing bar.
