Pre-toddler sleep program Reviews

4.9 Rating 32 Reviews
Being just two weeks into Dr Golly’s program, my husband and I feel as though we have part of our life back. Usually our little girl (9 months) wouldn’t go down until 10-11pm. We had previously purchased two programs but couldn’t stick them out as it required leaving her to cry for too long. Thanks to this secure attachment based program with lots of options to suit your preferences and instincts, the past couple of nights she’s in bed by 7pm. We keep looking at each other like “surely not” and have night times together again to unwind and actually have a cup of tea to decompress from the day. There’s still a few hiccups and things we have to work on (she’s just started teething again) but already the consistency is paying off! We are forever grateful.

This is my 3rd Dr Golly sleep program. Like the others I've found it really useful for not just sleep but everything from solids to routine to managing teething. I really feel that Dr Gollys advice is the best out there - I've compared with lots of other professionals and mum friends, and every time I come back to Dr Golly! Couldn't recommend more highly.

I bought this program in desperation after trying everything with my 11 month old who was waking 5+ times per night. I stuck to the plan and did a combination of two suggested settling techniques and within a week she started sleeping a 6-8 hour stretch and going to sleep on her own in the cot! This course hasn’t solved all our problems but it also didn’t promise to. Some nights she still wakes multiple times and I am still feeding her once overnight but for the most part it’s made a HUGE difference. I still don’t have a baby who sleeps 7pm-7am, and doubt I ever will, but the changes we’ve been able to implement have been huge for our little girl. The information in here isn’t groundbreaking but when combined together it does give a really concise, easy to follow and effective routine and settling plan. I’d definitely recommend it and have already!

Jen - you are so right, every baby is different and every family is different, I'm so pleased you've seen improvement with sleep. You might be surprised the more she learns to love her sleep the more she will sleep ... You may have a 7-7 before you know it, but I love that you've balanced this goal with what's possible for your family, you daughter is very lucky. Keep up the great work. Dr Golly

I like the holistic approach to the program, discussing nutrition, health, gross motor milestones and all factors that influence sleep and the developmental stage of the baby, not just sleep and routine. We are still currently working through the sleep settle/resettle process however the changes we have implemented to my son’s daily routine, nutrition and sleep environment/bedtime routine have already made a positive difference to his sleep (…and ours)! I feel more empowered over the situation. Dr Golly, if you could please provide advice with managing tears during overnight wakes, that would be great. We try to stay firm with the resettling technique however we don’t want him to become so upset that he can’t return to sleep. Thank you.

So much wonderful information about an array of different topics. A lifesaver to be able to go back and check in whenever I have any questions that need answering, or reassurance on anything to do with my newborn.

Includes some helpful guides around sleep, including picking which of the multiple settling techniques to use for sleep. Unfortunately with all the variables going on and despite some additional input from the Dr Golly team, it has not quite been successful for our child.

It’s taking a little bit to get into the routine but I really liked a lot of the suggestions made and look forward to my bub sleeping through the night.

Dr Golly’s sleep program has changed our lives. We were right in the thick of contact napping and 3 hour long bedtimes. That has completely changed. Not only with the guidance of proper burping, settling and environment, Dr Golly’s guide has taught us things about our baby’s nutrition we would have never of known about if it wasn’t for his guide. All the factors he’s taught us has lead to Independant napping, an easier bedtime with a set routine and properly feeding our baby to ensure she’s full and comfortable for bed. I would buy this guide 100 times again if I needed and would recommend it to any parent who’s wanting to gently teach their child how to settle, soothe and just overall live a happier life for the whole family.
