“I purchase the FireBoard 2 pro with fan . Solid and slick design . I used it in my Coyote Asado grill , had to do some adjustments on the adapter plate , but overall waited very well . I smoked short beef ribs for about 8 hours and I had to go outside only once to put more charcoal , and they turned fantastic !. Overall , very pleased with the product , would definitely recommend !”
“Three things: 1) The cord is way too short. It needs to be at least 6'. I'd prefer 8' for my large smoker. I know I can buy an extension, but they should have put a 6' cord on it. 4' is way too short all but the most compact applications 2) The 1" threaded pipe adapter fits loose on it, and the adapter itself is put together with the smallest tack welds possible. It will definitely break at some point. I'll fix it, but I shouldn't have to for the money. 3) The fan sounds cheap. It rattles a little. I assume I'll have to find a replacement fan at some point due to all these issues.”
“The fan itself is great. The new air gate mod works well. My issue is with the adapter plates. The perforated plates make for a wider range of applications. But easy to break. Luckily my new tig welder showed up today and was able to make reparations.”
“When looking at new grills 20 years ago I was torn between the ease of pellet grills and the kamado style cookers. The ease of use was appealing on the pellet grills. The versatility of the kamado’s. Have no fear the answer is hear. The fan coupled with the fireboard makes it next to fool proof to maintain and control heat accurately. Time will tell on well the unit holds up. Only a couple of cons: The fan protrudes from the front of the grill but Thai is more a function of the grill. Oreo is I have wires running all over. Need to come up with a form of cable management. Might try one of the probe pouches”
