“I have only had the new probe and antenna for three weeks but my first use was cooking the Ham for our Christmas party. One word - AWESOME. I could monitor the temp in the meat and inside the roaster in the oven. It was interesting to see the slow rise in temperature in the roaster as well as the ham. So I really didn't get to test it with my smoker as I had completed all my Christmas Smoking three days prior to receiving the probe.
One interesting thing that kept happening was all of my meters updated twice after I started using the Pulse. Not sure if that was a back-to-back update or the fact that I had a new product on my account that forced the upgrade. My Spark kept updating with every use which was annoying to my wife as she uses the Spark more than I do. So I removed it from my account and then added it back and it stopped updating the firmware.
This has been my only issue with any of your products. I have two original Fireboards with one connected to sensors for all of my Refrigerators and
Freezers, one Fireboard II which I use for BBQing along with my other Fireboard, One Spark which we use every time we grill or cook inside and now the Pulse with the Antenna. I love the pulse as it is very accurate and very easy to use. Paired with the Fireboard two a simple glance and you can see both temps on the Pulse. Awesome products from an awesome city. We lived on Lake Lotawana and miss the KC area but your products makes me smile and remember our 12 years in the KC metro area. Keep up the great work and innovations.”
“It would be amazing if the antenna was built in, internally or at least able to rotate into alignment with the FB 2 Drive case. Im concerned about accident collisions or bumps.
I'm sure you guys have a good reason for the antenna to be positioned how it is.
