Used it on our Fire Company’s flat headed axe to pair with the Halligan. Been used a few times in training and on scene with no issues, feels good when striking and wielding with thick bunker gloves. Highly recommended, I also use it on other hand tools for grip.

I’ve used FireWrap on my tools both personal and department owned. FireWrap gives a long time grip and durability.

We have been using hockey tape for a long time, but it eventually becomes a sticky mess and tears easily. Recently, we decided to try an HRD kit, and we were impressed with its durability compared to cloth hockey tape. We just placed an order for five more kits to cover the rest of our hand tools. Do yourself a favor and save time and money by ordering an HRD kit!

This is my 5th or 6th experience with fire maul grip tape. All of the others have been great but this one wasn’t as much. First off, 5 of the lacing rings broke going onto the stitch hook which I was kind of concerned about from the get-go, then one of the rolls of tape was pretty lacking on the resin in the roll, so although I prepped them the same, the two rolls came out very different textures. All in all I think it was kind of just a fluke kit. I still recommend the grip kits because I’ve always otherwise had great experiences, just wish this one would’ve worked out better. The glow in the dark does look pretty great as well.

Hi Robert, Thanks for the product review. We can send you a video on stretching the Lacing Rings over the Stitch Hook so they don't snag and break. The HRD GLOW GREEN can be a little dryer due to the Glow Pigment in the resin. We would be happy to send you another kit if your order did not perform as intended.

What an easy way to make your tool even better. A great way to improve the grip of your tool. We’ve been using it on all of our tools for a while now. Easy to put on, just follow the instructions.
