“Ok I really wanted to write a positive review and after doing my homework I can! I ended up buying the deluxe which is big and can heat a group of 10 people. So make sure you get very dry wood and plenty of it! The fire pit is designed to be filled right up for the 2nd burn, using a small amount will only end up with it not working and being smoky! If you don't need the big fire buy the mini genie. So when I finally get good dry wood and fill it up it produces a real good flame and fantastic heat for over 1 hour, Needs to be topped up to be kept going! So finally I am delighted to be writing this review and would recommend the product!”
“Took a punt and ordered one during the initial campaign after looking at the Solo Stove Bonfire, and what a punt that turned out to be!
this thing is every bit as good as the Solo Stove in terms of design, build, quality and performance, and beats it hands down on value for money. If you have a regular type fire pit, then you won't be disappointed if you swapped it out form one of these.
The laser cut logo on the outer skin is a lovely touch, and the removable ash pan/stand (included here but an extra with he Solo Stove) is great, as it then slots inside the main body to make it nice and compact for storage/carrying. I can see this becoming the go-to item for camping etc, especially with he ability to pop a grill on and cook on it too.
My 10 year old was in awe when we did the first burn last night, exclaiming "Dad, it's like a fire tornado!" due to the vortexes created by the secondary burn outlets round the top making the primary flames swirl and twist into a spiral.
We did have a small issue of the product arriving with some damage (thanks I'm sure to some "robust" handling in transit by the couriers, however as soon as I raised this with them (Hannah) it was dealt with efficiently with a commitment to send out a replacement FOC as soon as the next manufacturing run was completed.
Hannah was also great at keeping me updated as to the progress of the order and the expected delivery date.
I can see my friends wanting to purchase these as soon as they see it, so the "Refer aFriend" link on the site will be welcome.
I've now realised I need a set of "fire-pit tools" so will be keeping an eye out for those not he site becasue the experience to date has certainly made we want to support them even more, so happy to hold out rather than go to amazon.
