“The shoes look fantastic and the craftsmanship is excellent. The sole is thick, warm, and feels very durable — perfect for colder Parisian weather.
The color is not quite as shown in the photos — instead of a warm brown, it looks more like a cooler, artificial brown in real life.
However, the leather is extremely stiff. I’ve been trying to break them in for two weeks, and so far they remain very rigid. They rub in several places, and the high ankle collar presses painfully against both sides of my ankle. It’s been a struggle.
I hope this is just the initial break-in period and that soon I’ll be able to enjoy my first pair of Weejuns without discomfort.”
