“The top of the shoe is actually done really well — they look great and sit nicely on the feet. But I was honestly shocked by how bad the leather sole is. After just two short wears (maybe 2.5 km total on regular sidewalks), the sole looked like it had been run over with a cheese grater. The fronts were already rubbed off, even though I was being careful with how I walked once I noticed the damage. Small stones and bits of glass stuck to the sole too — the leather just seems really soft and low quality.
I have a pair of leather-soled loafers I’ve been wearing since 2017 on various occasions and never had anything close to this kind of wear. For a shoe that costs over 280 EUR, this is super disappointing. The sole just doesn’t hold up, and that really ruins what could otherwise be a solid pair of shoes.”

Leather-soled shoes are beautiful, comfortable, and the heritage of our brand, but require extra care and maintenance to keep in good shape.
While we produce good quality leather shoes, the nature of this material is that it does wear quickly.
Please find some information below, to help you understand the nature of leather soling, and preserve the soles of your product for as long as possible.
While this information will help prolong the life of the leather soles on your shoes, your shoes will eventually need to be re-soled. This may be sooner rather than later, depending on the conditions in which you wear your leather-soled shoes.
Soles that are worn without consideration, even brand new, may wear out extremely quickly.
