“Amazing shoe, the quality, the smell, the shoe itself. I would recommend everybody to half size up. I am US9EE, with that being said, I ordered UK8.5EE, not UK8 since that may be to snuggle. Just like with the Iron Ranger from red wing, half size up.”
“I love the leather construction, gussets and shearling, as well as the two kinds of insoles (leather and shearling) that are included, but overall these boots are more fragile than they appear. I scraped the toe lightly while crawling one time and it exposed the unpainted grain underneath - thankfully I can easily paint over and wax it. The insoles are quite poor, I ate through the leather ones within a month, and had to spend a while cleaning adhesive off the bottom of the inner from where the insole foam ripped. The shearling behind the heel and Achilles has already worn down a bit and I suspect it will be completely bare and uncomfortable by next winter. This could be fixed by trimming the shearling less on surfaces that get a lot of abrasion (heel, ankles, toes maybe) while trimming more elsewhere - that would make the sides of the shoe look less puffy and awkward anyway. The tongues on the back fray easily and I've had to trim loose fibers a few times. The ear's hole still isn't large enough for an adult index finger to pull, even though this is supposed to be V2 of the design. I hope the next iteration puts more effort into the longevity of these, because they really are a fine sneaker/boot aside from my nitpicks.”
