I've had 3 pairs of Gdefy now, each a little different style. Each pair has been comfortable and remained comfortable with wear. I put about 250 miles per month on shoes, so I am a heavy user. I've used HOKA in the past...HOKA does use a bit higher end more robust materials (they might last a year whereas Gdefy might last 6-7 months). But, HOKA wasn't consistently comforable to wear. So far Gdefy has been. I don't use the orthodic insert...just the on-board comfort fit insert, so I can't say if the orthodic would be better or worse. I would say that some of the Gdefy soles (the ones with the little squares on the bottom) don't stand up all that well to gravel trails. Gravel consistently embedded into the sole and had to be picked out. Annoying, but the walkability didn't actually suffer that much. The latest pairs have a more solid surface sole, so we'll see. We'll see if the latest pairs last consistent with previous pairs... that's the biggest problem in shoes... they change the recipe and change the fit and they don't fit well the next year. It's why I switched from HOKA. Sizing seems to be pretty true.
