“The Mighty Glides arrived and I immediately went about figuring out to make them fit my feet comfortably.
With the optional inserts I finally found what I thought was a comfortable fit. So I set out on my daily walking route. In the first 100 feet it was apparent that the heel sole was way harder than the Hokas I have worn for the past year on the walk (330 miles per yr). After a 1/4 of a mile I noticed my feet wer "slapping" the ground. From the heel to the toe box my seemed colliding with the pavement. Noisy. I tried landing my feet in a rocking motion reel to toe and realized after another 1/4 mile that this was requiring way too much energy (I'm 88 so that E is in short suppy). I continued on up the gentle climb and noticed my legs not lifting the foot pad high enough on most stride as I was scuffing the soles on many of the steps. After a mile it was apparent the shoes were not going to 'soften up' any. The only thing I could think of for the remaining mile was it felt like I was walking in low top ski boots.
These shoes aree nice to look at, but not made for walking any distance.”
