“This collector's set is a perfect complement to my entire mad scientist/Frankenstein collection. I loved reading all the extra material and learning so much interesting information.”
“Fabulous release from Hammer. As a career graphic designer, I can really appreciate the gorgeous design of the entire package. To be honest, I'd rather there was a less extensive, cheaper option, but I was more than willing to shell out for a hi-def release of this seminal Hammer classic. Kudos to all involved! - dam”
“Fabulous release and nice to see the often neglected films getting the same love and attention the 'big hitters' often get in previous releases. Cannot fault it. Great press release material and other 'extras' inside. 5 out of 5 for me. Keep them coming.”
“A great underseen gem and a really interesting precursor to where Hammer would go later in the decade. The transfer is faultless and the special features including the books are fascinating. Came really well packaged and shipped out quickly. Great value for money!”
“The one single caveat about the Collector's Edition of Four Sided Triangle is that the film in question is more interesting than it is good. Terence Fisher is nowhere near the heights he would achieve with his gothic horrors, and the sexual politics of 1953's Four Sided Triangle are far more dated than any Hammer horror pretending to take place in the 19th century. It does, however, have its moments, and the restoration is immaculate. Similarly, the special features - both on the disc and in the included book - are excellent all around, thoroughly analysing and contextualising the film and its key players. The extras are always interesting and engaging, and never boring.
If you are looking for an enjoyable film that can match Terence Fisher's later works for Hammer, this may not be it. However, if you are keen to let Four Sided Triangle act as a springboard to an academic examination of the roots of Hammer horror and sci-fi, you cannot go wrong with this set. It is frankly superlative - this is how you treat a niche film.”
