“I like fruit, but this sauce was very thick and the heat was almost non-existent. It needed more of a kick, and even the moderate hot sauce lover in the house agreed it was far too weak. The mix is sweet and fruity, but not much else. The flavor pleasant, but it does not taste like a hot sauce. We usually end up using it after eating something hot, or mixing it with something hotter. This is the closest I have seen to a dessert sauce.”

“This sauce has a pretty subtle flavor. It reminds me a lighter honey mustard. I'll certainly end up using the whole bottle but for the price it's definitely not worth it.”

“Lovely light flavour, perfect for tacos either fish or chicken. Spice fills your mouth after the flavor, not into sinuses or down throat and its a solid heat. Love this sauce, will be buying again.”

“Since day 1 of buying sauces from The Heatonist, we have been using them on frozen wings and legs that we deep fry ourselves. We've found it's a good base to get the true taste of the sauces we try. Of the second batch of 5 that we've tried, this is easily the most mild. I would not even say it has any heat. I did not notice any strong flavors at all, not fruit or sweet or anything. I definitely tasted the chicken wing base flavor more than the sauce. Even though I like it, I'm not really sure how to use the rest of this sauce, maybe marinating a skirt steak? We will see.”

“I love the fruity taste of this sauce with the subtle heat. It’s very much like summer in a hot sauce. It’s great on an egg sandwich, cucumber slices, crab cakes (pretty much anything really when you want a bit of sweet with a slight kick)”
