“Piko Peppers is one of my favorite hot sauce companies. They focus on making flavorful sauces inspired by regional cuisines. This sauce can satisfy both Spice Lords and average foodies. Although this one is inspired by Japanese cuisine, I found that the sweetness and ginger elements really elevate your basic Chinese take-out into something new and exciting without blowing out your taste buds with heat. Try it on fried rice or pre-packaged sushi for a pleasant surprise.”

“Nice and zesty, as stated previously, this is a great staple to keep in the home if you commonly enjoy Asian cuisines, particularly Japanese dishes as the ginger and miso is so fresh and really compliments those dishes. The sweetness from the carrot creates a very well rounded hot sauce. I myself enjoy having a large variety of sauces with a wide range of flavor profiles to compliment the wide array of foods I enjoy, and this is a great addition to the collection. I also can’t wait to try this in a salad! The heat also came through nicely, I feel any hotter would have taken away from the taste so I was very happy with the heat level.”

“If you like the ginger-y, carrot-y salad dressing that's typical on the salads served in most American sushi restaurants, you'll like this. It's basically a spicier (but not hot), more intense version of that.”

“Just got this today and was pleasantly surprised as I stated on other reviews before. I really like Asian inspired sauces. And this was a fresh take on one. This sauce has heat but more importantly to me it has flavor the ginger and carrot really shine making the sweetness freshness come through and then the heat creeps in but it all balances well the heat and flavor nothing too over powering. Great on meat I had it on pork steak, but can’t wait to try it on fish especially sushi or poke. I do recommend this one for someone looking for a fresh flavorful hot sauce it has sweetness kinda savory salty.”

“This sauce is easily one of my favorite sauces. It goes great on any Asian dish. Amazing on sushi and amazing in miso soup. Definitely one I’ll be buying again.”
