“This may be rated a 6 but its more a 5 BUT what makes up for the lack of hotter heat is the flavor. This has incredible unique flavor that does come through. It has raisin in it & it is a beautiful hint to the flavor. I do recommend”

“Dirty Dick's continues to be one of my favorite sauces. Sweet, mild, fruity, and with that little bit of spice, makes this the sauce that goes on almost anything and everything. The banana is what first drew me in, but it's just enough to put everything together in a sweet package. It's something that makes me think of getting street food in a summer market, or hanging out at a southern barbeque. Even if hot sauces aren't your thing, I highly recommend Dirty Dick's - if just for the expression on your friend's faces when you ask if they want some Dick's on their plate.”

“My current favorite has phenomenal flavor, fruity and sweet with a nice bite. Not superior hot, I feel it has a great balance of flavor and heat.”

“I was excited to try this sauce based on the many positive reviews! Unfortunately, it wasn't for me - but not because it's a bad sauce, it just wasn't what I was expecting. Short Summary: it tastes like sweet banana barbecue sauce. If you don't like bananas, or very noticeablely banana flavoured things, I do not recommend this sauce. (I want to stress that it really just tastes and smells like bananas) More Details: This sauce is VERY sweet, sweeter than I thought it would be based on the reviews and heat rating. I did not find it spicy at all. It's ranked as a 6/10 heat, but this sauce is very very mild. Personally, I would give it a 3/10 for heat. It's much more like a sugary barbecue sauce than a hot sauce. The 'tropical' flavour tasted like bananas. I was hoping that the mango and pineapple would come through, as they're identified higher on the ingredient list and bananas was lower down, but unfortunately that wasn't the case. I'm not a huge fan of banana, so I found it rather overpowering. This would be a great sauce for barbecue sauce fans looking for a new sauce/flavour to mix up their usual picks. Better than a big label /chain store bought bbq sauce for sure! It would also be great for people who really like bananas.”
