“I got the classic and the Los Calientes sauces, they were both sweet tasting which i can't stand in a hot sauce. Also, apple cider vinegar ruins the flavor as well. So now i have $30 worth of sweet sauce i'll probably throw away. I'll stick with Frank's, it tastes better and is alot cheaper.”

Oh no! So sorry that these sauces weren't your cup of tea! The Los Calientes does have sweetness from apricots and agave, it pairs super well on a bean and cheese burrito if you haven't tried that yet. If you're looking for something more vinegar forward, you may prefer Dustin Poirier's Lousiana Style Sauce. It knocks Franks out of the ring for sure. Or if you drop us a line at ilovehotsauce@heatonist.com, we could make some not sweet recommendations as well!

“This sauce is amazing! Its not too hot, comparable to some 'at-every-grocery-store' type sauces in terms of heat, but the flavor is what really takes the cake. This is the kind of sauce you could put on almost anything it would enhance it! This is definitely the bottle I've purchased the most from Heatonist”

“It has the perfect flavor profile to add with just about any dish. It adds just the right kick not even so much a spice. It has a sweet taste along with the pepper flavor that takes this sauce to a whole new level. Would strongly recommend to anyone and everyone.”

“This is a great hot sauce and is great for a classic buffalo wing. My only issue with it lately is that it has differed from the time when it was originally created. Buying this back in 2018, it was a thicker, creamier, and all-around richer sauce. It was so good I had to hide it from my then roommates, because they would use it with reckless abandon. My most recent purchase of it earlier this year, however, was a thinner more liquidy experience. It seemed like it was a watered down version of its old self. It also seemed like there was a larger apple cider vinegar ratio which overpowered the other ingredients. It's still good and I still use it occasionally, but I no longer need to hide it.”
