“I knew I would be in for a world of hurt but not before at least getting a taste of the flavors. But the flavor was really weak and bland. Very underwhelming flavor. If a hot sauce is gonna hurt it should taste good and sadly this one didn’t.”

Oh no! So sorry that this sauce wasn't your cup of tea! With all that turmeric, ginger and mustard, we want you to use a lot of it! And sometimes it's about finding the right pairing. I suggest pouring a tablespoon on a big burrito and see those flavors pop. Or if you'd like a recommendation for something more to your taste, send an email to ilovehotsauce@heatonist.com.

“They claim it is a 11/10 for how hot it is, for me that was more like a 7/10, if i was generous maybe a 7.5/10, just not that hot. Still it tastes pretty good and does deliver a good amount of heat.”

“First off, the flavor isn't bad. About the same as most others (there are far better tasting sauces on the site though). If you don't care if it's the hottest thing in the world, then give it a shot. My complaint, is this one, like all previous Last Dab sauces, are relatively not very hot... There are 7/10, 8/10, 9/10, and 10/10 rated sauces on this site, all of which are hotter than this stuff... They give it an 11/10 solely as a marketing ploy to sell it...”

So sorry to hear that! Sometimes XXX feels more like a full body hot sauce high, or hits you in the stomach. This sauce is about 90% Pepper X mash, and when you taste the mash straight up it is killer! When it's cooked in the sauce with the turmeric, ginger and mustard those compounds react with the capsaicin and control the heat level. So we want you to use a lot! The number one reason for people to think this is not hot is because they treat it like an extract sauce and use too little. You're meant to use about 1 tablespoon per serving, so enough to well coat a wing, plus a dab on top. Also, give it a healthy shake before using it. Sometimes things will settle on account that we don't use preservatives.

“This isn't my favorite flavored sauce - BUT I bought it for the heat and it definitely delivered in that category! I tried it with my friends and they were all panicking and running around waiting for the heat to fade away. 10/10 for being a good, challenging sauce.”
