“Not as fearsome as the Hot Ones show makes it seem. By the time the contestants get to this sauce, their mouth is already on fire and I don't think they can truly appreciate it (some who can still taste at that point have noted its excellent flavor). Very tasty indeed, but it hits pretty hard so be ready. Working your way up by starting with milder sauces is a very good idea. If you start with this sauce you may not be spending much time enjoying your meal - and definitely use just a dab until you feel like you can handle more. This sauce has a lot of different types of spice in it making it surprisingly well balanced. It actually wasn't as brutal as I was expecting. I think Da Bomb has a fearsome reputation because it's a cooking sauce at a super high concentration and not meant for dousing an entire wing with. Even a prick of it on the end of a toothpick will give you pretty much the same reaction, so it's a waste to use more. By the time everyone gets to this Apollo sauce, Da Bomb has already done its dirty work. This sauce deserves to shine more without having to live in the shadow of Da Bomb.”

“This is one of the best tasting hot sauce I’ve had. It has a great balance between the tangy acid and whatever causes sweetness. It’s very hot but not unpleasantly so. As it goes down your esophagus, it feels like your mom rubbed Vicks or Tiger Balm on your chest and now whatever virus you had is gone.”

“Had a jalapeño cheeseburger wasn't spicy at all. Added a few drops of the Apollo added both a spicy after taste burn but as well more flavor to the burger. Good sauce.”

“To me, the Apollo shines for the flavor. It's the fruitiest pepper I have had in a hot sauce, and it gives me a mild feeling of euphoria. Helps take away my headaches! I like it on everything, including dabbed into concentrated shots of liquid chocolate (melted into hot oat milk). The fruit sings with hot chocolate! I also love it on, well everything. I like Reaper edition Last Dab 2nd best for its mashy sludge, but Apollo really has me enamored with the characteristic of the pepper itself.”
