“Pretty disappointed with the heat level, and as Public Enemy said "Dont believe the Hype" The heat level is mediocre, I feel the Maddog 357 Pure Gold is at least 2x hotter than the Apollo. Zombie Apocalypse Hot Sauce beats it in terms of Heat level. 2 starts because its has a unique flavor thats all.. if you are looking for Extreme heat with great flavor, avoid this and get the Maddog 357 Pure Gold.”

Oh no! So sorry to hear that! The number one reason for people to think that the Apollo is not hot is because they treat it like an extract sauce and use too little. You're meant to use about 1 tablespoon per serving, so enough to well coat a wing, plus a dab on top. Giving the bottles a good shake also helps! “Over the years I've gone through a good number of super-hot sauces to act as mix-ins. Dave's total insanity sauce and mad dog 357 have been frequent presences in my shelves as sauces that last for months because I only have to use a few drops at a time. Apollo's got a citrusy/smoky flavor at the front and an intense burn that persists for a WHILE after you're done with it. I think I'll be hard pressed to find a really hot sauce that can top this one.”

“i bought this on a whim in may last year because i love spicy food and have been looking for a good hot sauce and this has not disappointed me at all. i put it on everything i can. and not drops, a good smear. it’s so hot and for me, this is what i feel like a hot sauce should be. 11/10. perfection for a spicy lover like me.”

“Excellent sauce! As far as flavor goes, it is very recognizably "Last Dab" - instantly identifiable. I actually didn't find much difference in heat, though. The original Last Dab is already so incredibly hot that its hard to gauge a significant difference. However, the best feature by far of the Apollo is the color. It is much more red, like a dark rust color, than the yellow-ochre-brown of the original. To me, a parent who has changed infant diapers, the Apollo is much more aesthetically pleasing to see on the plate!”
