“Not as hot as I thought it would be. Kind of disappointing for a $20 bottle of sauce that I expected to be super hot given that is described on the website as "the new king of Mt. Scoville". I bought two bottles and gave one as a gift. The recipient of the gift also surprised that it wasn't as hot as expected.”

Oh no! So sorry to hear that! The number one reason for people to think sauce is not hot is because they treat it like an extract sauce and use too little. You're meant to use about 1 tablespoon per serving, so enough to well coat a wing, plus a dab on top. Giving the bottles a good shake also helps! Or, if you'd like a suggestion for something else super hot email to ilovehotsauce@heatonist.com

“I been wanting to purchase this for years and finally did and I was LET DOWN big time. It is not spicy enough to be listed in the hottest of the hot sauces. Dave’s Ghost Pepper that sells for $10 is a lot spicier than this. This is just hype. TASTE is very good though. Worth $30 after shipping? NOPE I find it hilarious that all those celebrities were dying from this hot sauce…I drank it and didn’t do much as other companies out there that add extract.”

“By all means, this is a good sauce and youll love it if you love pepper forward, nothing gimmicky, just pepper-and-heat sauces. But I personally found the XXX to be hotter, *and* found the spice mix in the XXX to be fantastic. So if you want the basics turned up to 11, you're set here, but the XXX has personality.”
