I like the flavor; honestly, this is a good sauce. Still, hearing that the Apollo Pepper is in competition with Pepper X, I was expecting more heat. I was expecting more heat than, say, taking straight satin's blood. Maybe I got the one bottle that is missing the Apollo Pepper? Maybe I just need to skip the sauce and eat a straight apollo pepper on its own? Maybe I just have peaked on hot sauces personally? Who knows. I will say I do feel the heat from it, and it lasts whereas other sauces dissipate rather quickly.

Always on my dinner table, with conventional supermarket "hot" sauces. When it's time to put pedal to the metal - out comes the Apollo hot-rocket. Yowza!

Hello I'm from germany. I really like to watch Fwf, so it was only natural i wanted to try out these sauces. But when they arrived i was really disapointed about their heat. I really like hot and spicy food but to not feel any heat was really disapointing. Don't know why it was like that. The flavour is really rich and fruity but the heat isnt there, sadly.

Hi Francesco, So sorry to hear that! The sauce is definitely not as mouth-burn hot as extract-based sauces like Da Bomb. We only do natural pepper heat, and the extract-based sauces definitely have more of a mouth burn while natural peppers can have varied styles of heat. Carolina Reaper and Pepper X are way more delayed and can hit much later. So sometimes it feels more like a full body hot sauce high, or hits you in the stomach (the Carolina Reaper is infamous for making folks keel over with stomach cramps). This sauce is about 90% Pepper X mash, and when you taste the mash straight up it is killer! When it's cooked in the sauce with the turmeric, ginger and mustard those compounds react with the capsaicin and control the heat level. So the net result is that you can feel the type of heat delivered by Pepper X, but still at a level that people can appreciate and not have a meltdown over. We want you to use a lot! How much did you use? The number one reason for people to think this is not hot is because they treat it like an extract sauce and use too little. You're meant to use about 1 tablespoon per serving, so enough to well coat a wing, plus a dab on top. Definitely not a toothpick type deal. Oh! Also, give it a healthy shake before using it. Sometimes things will settle on account that we don't use preservatives. Let me know if I can help you with anything else! Stay Spicy, Sarita

Like the original Da Bomb, it’s just HOT with no definable taste.
