“I bought the full Season 20 pack of sauces and was tasting each one by one with friends. Once I got to the Brooklyn Delhi I opened the bottle for the first time and it was pressurized and exploded all over my face and arms. I somehow managed to avoid my eyes and laughed it off. However, the second time I tried to use it the same thing happened and it got in my eyes this time (do not recommend). I don’t know if it’s a faulty bottle or what but be careful when opening. Sauce was pretty good overall, just wish I had a better experience.”

Oh no! Sorry to hear that! Brooklyn Delhi has let us know that they are voluntarily recalling six batches of their Ghost Pepper Hot Sauce due to it fermenting post-bottling. The affected batches are: 12/12/2025 Batch #22121201 12/13/2025 Batch #22121301 1/3/2026 Batch #23010301 1/9/2026 Batch #23010901 1/11/2026 Batch #23011101 1/31/2026 Batch #23013101 There have been no reported illnesses, but we and the team at Brooklyn Delhi take food safety very seriously and we want to ensure spice lovers have the best experience possible with their hot sauce. Fermenting post bottling can cause the sauce to become pressurized and spurt out when opened. We are conducting a full sweep of our warehouse to remove any affected bottles from those batches. If your sauce has one of the batch numbers above printed on the label please throw the bottle away and use this gift code for a replacement sauce ($12) of your choosing plus free shipping on our site: BROOKLYNDELHI.
