“The different peppers work very well. Not overbearing at all. Has some consistency but pours nicely. Flavor is tops. Heat is 8/10, maybe a little less. Very very good!”

I’m so sorry this sauce wasn’t your cup of tea. We find it really sings on burgers and chicken tacos. It also makes a great marinade! Or if you'd like a suggestion for something more to your taste, send an email to ilovehotsauce@heatonist.com

“I consider myself fairly tolerant to very hot sauces. This sauce is HOT. I would say it is 8/10 or even 9/10 on the hot scale. The thing about these sauces is they vary depending on when it was bottled and which production run you get. Look at the date of this review, if you get one in this batch be prepared to get a very hot sauce. It isn't so hot that you can't eat it but it has a lasting burn and you will feel it. The flavor still comes through and is excellent. It is more of a traditional flavor, meaning it doesn't have weird fruits and isn't too sweet. Just a good old fasioned hot sauce. I love it.”

“We recently hosted a Hot Ones challenge featuring 8 different sauces from the Heatonist, one of them being Hotter than El. Hotter than El was buy far the most disliked by the group. The heat was certainly up front and we all thought the burn over powered any flavor that it may of had.”
