My husband, son and I had a blast doing our own hot ones challenge while watching hot ones on YouTube. 10 pack is a delicious assortment of flavorful sauces. We agreed that there are a few from this box that will now be part of our regular hot sauce repertoire.

I’m sure the sauce is great, and I’d post a picture, but we’ve had shipping problems. I ordered it over a month ago, and I’m still waiting for it. They did send out a different box, but it hasn’t shown up either.

The second half of the pack besides the Apollo are gross tasting not so much hot. The flavors tastes like Chalk. Hot sauce regardless of how hot should taste good the Apollo has the right blend of hot and flavor. The few before need work.

I bought this as a gift for my husband for Christmas. He loves it and he and his friends do hot wing challenges often. My husband was impressed with the collection! ❤️

We bought the pack with the intention of having an at home Hot Ones Challenge of sorts. We try each sauce all together and see who can tolerate the spice the longest. We all would eat each wing at the same time like the show, and even had a few interview questions lined up for the group. We had quite a few who were nervous about how spicy the wings would end up being after watching the show and seeing celebrities reacting to the sauces. It ended up being way funnier to laugh at one another as we each tolerated the varying levels of spice differently. Sauces 1-7 were, surprisingly, way more bearable/tolerable and tasty than any of us had anticipated (again, especially after watching the show). Sauces 8-10 WITHOUT A DOUBT pack the most punch in terms of spiciness. IF YOU DO NOT TOLERATE SPICY FOODS WELL THEN I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TRYING 8-10. Sauces 1-7 I would absolutely recommend to anyone who wants to try an at home Hot Ones challenge. See below for individual sauce reviews/breakdowns. If anyone needs suggestions on how to prep your stomach so you’re not on the toilet the rest of the evening, jump to the end of the review. Sauce #1: The Classic: Garlic Fresno- Garlicky and Tangy. Good taste, very little spice. Sauce #2: Yellowbird Bliss and Vinegar- if you enjoy vinegar and coconut then you will like this. The group decided this was among our LEAST favorite tasting. Again very little spice. Sauce #3: Hoff & Pepper Hoff Sauce- smoky, almost barbecue like, spice was noticed but not overwhelming. Group was split over liking it or disliking it. Sauce #4: Los Calientes Verde- almost like a spicy green enchilada sauce. Would definitely buy this one individually for breakfast scrambles and general everyday eating. Sauce #5: Hot Heads Official Revolutionary- closest thing to a traditional buffalo sauce. The spice can catch you off guard if you aren’t prepared for it. We were not a fan of the flavor overall though. Sauce #6: Senior Lechuga .718- favorite sauce in the whole box. I used this one on my lunch the following day. Smoky adobo flavors with good spice to match it. Definitely buying more when I finish this bottle. *chef’s kiss* Sauce #7: Chile Lengua De Fuego Bhutila Fire- good flavor, yet this is where things start to creep up on the spice scale. It’s a slow build up in the back of the throat as you eat this one. Again good flavor, but I would have milk nearby just in case. Sauce #8: Da Bomb Evolution- this one by far has the WORST flavor (though we did have one person in the group that actually said this was their favorite tasting sauce, claiming it was the most “chili” tasting, which is what they enjoyed). Smells like battery acid, and tastes like it too. Spiciness gets kicked up to a 9/10. This is where eyes were watering, and noses were running. It is HOT. Sauce #9: Hellfire Kranked- Da Bomb desensitized us for this sauce. It tasted significantly better than Da Bomb, but the spice lingers for a while and builds over time. Definitely a step above Da Bomb but this sets you up for a punch in the face with the next one. Sauce #10: The Last Dab Apollo- this was far and away the SPICIEST thing I have every consumed. As per tradition we put a little extra on the last wing. This is a punch to the face, and then your left with a mouth on fire. It starts off hot and then builds into molten lava in your mouth. The burn lingered for 30 minutes for nearly all of us. I thought that some of the celebrities were being dramatic for a lot of the previous sauces after watching this season, but I 100% understand why everyone reacted the way that they did after eating this sauce. Good flavor, 999/10 spice, 10/10 would do that again. HAVE MILK AND ICE CUBES NEARBY. Good luck to whoever tries this one. Spicy food Prep/Helpful Hints: Prior to eating all those spicy wings in one sitting we carb loaded with some chicken fettuccine Alfredo. Give all that spice some dairy and carbs to help absorb it. We also each took some Pepto before eating the wings to make sure we didn’t unintentionally burn a hole in our stomach lining (some of us were extremely anxious about eating that many spicy wings in one sitting, but they were troopers and actually toughed it out through the whole 10 wing gauntlet). We read lemon helped get rid of the burning feeling in your mouth, and we can confirm this does help WITH SOME SAUCES, not all. (Sauces 1-7 if ever it was too much we, tried sucking on a lemon slice. It works SURPRISINGLY well, and tastes more like an orange than a lemon. Sauces 8-10 it did nothing to help…) Obviously milk helps out A TON. Ice cream too. Definitely keep AT LEAST A GALLON nearby. We had a group of 7 and ended up going through 2.5 gallons of milk (though most of the milk was consumed after sauces 7-10) We had one person who came late and didn’t do anything to prep or calm their stomach afterwards. They said they were on the toilet off and on “at least 15 times” the following morning. 10/10 would recommend as a group activity. It made it a lot of fun. Even if you aren’t a fan of crazy spicy foods the first 6 to 7 sauces are tolerable enough to enjoy and participate with the group, then you can sit back and laugh as their mouths get set on fire.
