We had a “Hot Ones” themed challenge with 12 participants. Only 2 people couldn’t finish, but almost everyone remarked on at least one sauce they found to be particularly tasty. By the end, we were all on fire but it was a lot of fun and honestly, an experience that I would do again. Thanks for the great show and bringing the heat!

I purchased the season 16 hot sauce box to host a spicy party! It went fabulously and almost everyone ate all 10 wings. My favorites are #1 and #4 for everyday use.

We’ve done the hot ones lineup twice. Each time we have a group of friends over and try to ask questions (nothing like as good as Sean’s). Just like the show, wings 1-7 are delicious, with varying flavor and heat. We do wonder why sauce 8 is evolution instead of beyond insanity but it is still fun. We plan to keep doing it until we run out. Then we’ll be buying the season 17 lineup.

Ok, let’s be honest. I’m not normal when it comes to hot sauces, so this review may not be for the “normies” lol. Hot sauce for me is like breathing air; it’s an absolute necessity for life. Breakfast? Absolutely! Lunch? Umm … duh hell yeah!! Dinner? Do you even need to ask??!! Snack time spoonful to impress your friends and feed your hot sauce fueled ego? Yep, that’s me. First off, I’m about 25% to 95% through all of the Hot Ones 10 pack. Initial reaction? Damn damn good …. errr great. What to put it on? Ok, dumb question. EVERYTHING :) I’m actually being serious here. I’ve been experimenting with things to put hot sauces on and in. Things that have worked: 1) pot stickers - mix it in with the filling (if you make them at home) or add it to your dipping sauce. #YUM 2) Salad dressings - mix it in with your favorite ranch, blue cheese or ???? salad dressing. I had a chicken and vegetable salad w/ Chile Lengua De Fuego recently and ranch dressing recently. 5 star review from this hot head. 3) Any thing w/ eggs - #NoDuh 4) Mayonnaise - #I’m confused? Don’t be. Everyone has heard of sriracha mayonnaise? Well if you haven’t heard of it now you have. Try (insert favorite hot sauce name here) mixed w/ mayonnaise on your favorite sandwich, hot dog, hamburger or ?????. 5) Veggie dip - Put a little hot sauce in your favorite veggie dip. 6) Barbecue sauce - just like the mayonnaise above, mix in little (Hoff & Pepper, Hot Heads Official, The Last Dab or ???? w/ your favorite barbecue sauce) 7) Cooking - add it into a marinade or just tip the hot sauce dump truck on whatever you’re about to cook. Chicken, steak, fish, carnitas, shrimp, hamburger or ???? Yes, yes, yes and yes!! 8) Tortilla chips / Nachos - Do I even need to justify this one??? 9) My favorites so far - In no particular order: Yellowbird, Hot Ones Los Calientes Verde, Senor Lechuga, Chile Lengua De Fuego and The Last Dab. To be honest they are all good (and yes even the dreaded “DA BOMB”) but I felt like I should at least edit it down a little bit. 10) The biggest “SURPRISE LIKE”? - The Last Dab is the easy answer here, but I’ll actually pick Yellowbird Bliss & Vinegar. Simply put, Yellowbird is fantastic. At first glance it sounded a little off to me as “hot sauce”. My simple rule of thumb for Yellowbird is to use it like you would a mustard. Chicken salad sandwich? Take out the mustard and insert Yellowbird. Pork? Yes. Potato salad? Yes. Bratwurst? Hell yes! Ham? Yes. You get the picture now? 11) Just experiment with it. Have I failed? Yes. I killed my chicken tikka masala w/ a little too much hot sauce lol. Have my experiments worked more often than not? Yes. Just remember you’ll never hit a home run if you don’t swing the bat :)
