We staged our own Hot Ones last week, 3 of us (high school classmates & teammates), at 60 yrs old now! We each came up with deep questions for the others, then ordered 30 hot-wings from Bojangles (secret menu item, with no sauce added, so yummy fried wings!), divided the wings to 3 ea, in 10 baggies, added each sauce, mixed well, then into ten 3-wing sets & placed in aluminum foil packets, kept warm in the oven. Our go to diluters were water, milk, OJ & ice cream, plus plenty of napkins & latex gloves. It was so fun AND painful, plus a few CRAZY answers to some really deep questions, i.e. Did you ever shoplift/steal, what & when? Biggest lie ever told? Who did you sleep with that no one knew of? Who was ur biggest crush? Ever get arrested? When did you first use ED pills? What was youngest & oldest girl you had sex with? Ever get fired & what happened?... and the answers were brutal! Thanks, it was a great time!

6 of us got together and did one wing of each sauce. We had a blast. The only sauce I didn't like was Collards and Ghost. The first five actually had good flavor without being too hot. Protip: Stop by your local pizza hut and grab 10 empty of the black plastic bubbles they use to toss their wings. Made life so easy. I could dump the sauce in and make sure everyone agreed they were properly covered after tossing with little to no cleanup.

This was well worth it. My son and I did the full hot ones challenge in one sitting and had a great time. We also asked each other interview questions, filmed the whole thing & put it on YouTube. The first 7 sauces were excellent and very tasty. Once you get to Da Bomb the heat really takes over & it becomes challenging. I’m looking forward to sharing the experience with my friends.

We box the box to recreate the Last Dab show. I worked really hard to copy it as best as I could. If you want to see the fruit of our labor, YouTube search "Koons Family Hot Ones"! Great sauces!

Such a complete assortment of sauces, flavor complexity and of course the heat! Always fun to do the challenge but the utility of the box and the wide breadth of attitude you can add to your food is amazing!

These sauces are fantastic, until Da Bomb. I have not found it pairs well with anything. So far I have done the gauntlet 3 times…all the sauces pair well with chicken. But DA Bomb tastes like an acetone dipped lithium ion lollipop. I have had a lot of fun with family and friends going through the whole gauntlet.

As expected, the show's hot sauces were mild-to-hot to OMG-hot-as-hell as they progressed through the chain. A co-worker of mine and I did the challenge and were climbing Mt. Scoville, being careful around the eyes, and wondering why this all came about in the first place. Little did we know we'd find some favorites in the mix that are now go-to's on the road to Heatsville.
