“As a long-time watcher of the Hot Ones show, I enjoy watching how people start off enjoying themselves and then descend into misery when it comes time for Da Bomb. I have used Da Bomb Ground Zero and Da Bomb Ghost Pepper for the past 15-20 years, so when the show put Da Bomb Beyond Insanity on the table, I went and got myself a bottle. It’s as awful as everyone says it is! I finally decided that I had to try out the other sauces that have been featured in previous seasons, so I visited Dawson’s Hot Sauce in my hometown and picked up their two hottest sauces, and ordered Pain 100% separately. Finally, at the conclusion of season 19, I went all-in on the season 19 box set. I set aside the Da Bomb that it came with and put Beyond Insanity in the number 8 spot. I then proceeded with cooking up some wings and recorded myself doing the challenge! I am completely satisfied that the sauces are “as advertised” and the reactions to them are genuine. I have just one suggestion: Heatonist does not include “Beyond Insanity” in the box because it is an “extract” sauce. The whole point of the challenge is to be subjected to the same “tastes like a donkey’s a**” experience that the participants on the show experience. There is no expectation of great flavour with Da Bomb, so putting something different in there and calling it “Da Bomb Evolution” does not lend authenticity to the Hot Ones experience. To those who want to do the challenge, do yourself a favour and purchase yourself a bottle of Da Bomb Beyond Insanity.”

“I had a few friends over to try the season 19 line up and we were surprised how easy is was to get through all 10. The last season we tried was Season 8. It's all fun and games until you get to #8 (Da Bomb). Even though Da Bomb is the game changer that separates the novice from the experienced, it wasn't that bad this time around. Maybe my tolerance has changed and I didn't rush for the milk this time around. We all made it to the end. Lots of fun to see peoples reactions. #3 (Piko Riko) and #4 ( Los Calientes Barbacoa) were the crowd favorites. I personally liked #7 (Cosmic Disco) the best. Cheers!”

“This pack was everything I wanted it to be. I had coworkers over for a hot ones night and it was a hit. The first several sauces are genuinely delicious and everyone can participate. The home stretch is not for the weak, but it's a fun experience for those crazy enough to try it.”
