“We hosted our own Hot Ones interview with our dad for his birthday this weekend. We all ate wings with the sauces at the same time and asked him questions just like the show. It was super fun to play along and try the different sauces. However, the sauces surprisingly were not as spicy as expected. Having watched many episodes of Hot Ones I was a little scared, but 3 out of 4 of us easily survived the challenge. We're even doing it again at Christmas with more of the family in town. Chile lengua de fuego was the most delicious, Da Bomb was the least delicious, and Curry verde was the best for everyday use. Lemon Pepper didn't really have any flavor. The Spicy Shark was definitely not ranked correctly, it's spicier than the Adoboloco.”

“Sauces aren't nearly as hot as they seem on the show. I'm a novice when it comes to spicy food, but I got some chicken wings and ate sauces 1 through 10 in a single sitting, without any water or milk, and was barely bothered. Some sauces weren't spicy at all.”

Oh no! So sorry to hear that! The number one reason for people to think (sauce) is not hot is because they treat it like an extract sauce and use too little. You're meant to use about 1 tablespoon per serving, so enough to well coat a wing, plus a dab on top. Giving the bottles a good shake also helps!
