“I have used the same Colgate Optic white gel previously but provided by a UK dentist with my trays, and it was a lower strength (about 7% I think). Last time I could wear the trays overnight without any sensitivity issues but I couldn't with this strength at 9% without experiencing significantly sensitive teeth which were highly uncomfortable for the entire next day. It can also happen if I wear the trays for more than 3 hours, however by using the gel for less than 2 hours each time and having days off then I have no sensitivity issues. I don't have sensitive teeth at any other time, just by using whitening products. After a few uses of this gel you can see the difference. It takes regular use to gain a noticeably whiter shade but this product does work very well with patience and well fitted trays. I was a smoker for 25 years & by using Colgate Optic white gel the first time from a dentist it helped make my teeth look much less yellow in less than a month of use every night. Unfortunately I smoked again after first use, hence partly why I am using again. I'm very happy with the progress so far and I've only used half of the first tube. This product doesn't give you those celebrity pure white teeth but it certainly gives your teeth a whiter shade with each few uses. If you are an ex-smoker I recommend it as a treat for giving up. Use product with care eg don't overfill trays as this can be harsh on the gums and test it carefully so you know how long your teeth can cope with the gel on. Very good product for price :) and good service from website, delivered quickly without hassle.”
