“I purchased this to wear to my daughter's wedding. Just in case, I tested it out by wearing it prior to the wedding to see how it felt. I could comfortably wear it for a few hours and then it was very uncomfortable.”
“My product arrived swiftly which I really appreciated but when I first tried it on a small hole teared on the side. I was a little disappointed but willing to give it a proper test run. I wore it for an important event, it was comfortable except that the legs rolled up and made it painful when sitting down (cutting circulation) so I was adjusting a lot through the day. The original hole is wider now, up along the seam of the waist. Over all yes I like it but could be improved I think.”
“I bought these to wear under my fit and flare wedding dress. I initially purchased the Shadow Sculpt High Waist Brief in Sand, however, the colour showed through my dress and I experienced VPL. I also wasn't a fan of the way the underwear did up at the crotch (with bra snaps - very fiddly!). The No-Show High Waist Short, however, is BRILLIANT. Not a line in sight! Colour disappeared totally under my white gown. And the strong support is excellent - I feel 'held' in exactly the right way, yet I can still breathe normally and don't feel squashed at all. I am wearing a strapless bra that has a long line shape so have completed avoided the dreaded "back fat roll" - I'm smooth all the way from shoulders to knees. The simple opening for toileting is also much easier to deal with. This is the most expensive shape wear I have ever bought but I think it was a worthy investment - thrilled to bits with the No Show High Waist Shorts!”
“I bought these to wear under my wedding gown which is a fit and flare style so very tight through the waist and hips and flares out at the thighs. I had tried a few other brands previously but was very pleased by the feel of the fabric (very soft) and the thickness of the waist band. Also gotta love the hole in the gusset for easy restroom use! I ordered a Medium and at first I was concerned that these would not go over my bum! But after some patience, I was able to get it over my hips and once they were on - Oh wow! The comfiest shapewear I have ever worn! I feel held in without feeling suffocated. The best part - When tried on with my gown, the gown was actually a bit loose in places it wasn't before!
The ONE thing I will say is that my wedding gown is a lowcut v-back and the bodice is see through lace. The waistband for the shapewear peeks out over the top of the buttons in the back by an inch or so. My tailor will be altering the shapewear by lowering the band in the back so it scoops down. I have a short torso and I think that is the issue, not the shapewear itself.
I will update the reivew after my wedding to report back on how the item does for a whole day!”
