It fails to maintain temperature, I even went and bought a temp gun to confirm for warranty purpouses (still ongoing) I recorded it whilst it was set to 240 degrees it dropped down into the 70s well under temp, and I could also see as it was plugged into my power station that it had stopped pulling any watts at that point in time. Then it ramps up again, but the vast temp differences during your cook is not good for your meat. Its clearly doing an on / off thing to maintain an internal temperature, but this needs some serious tweaking. I love the design and concept, I really hope KickAss can fix this so that i can change my review to 5 star, as I love the size, design, concept, easy cleaning etc.

Great piece of kit. Works great off my inverter when out camping. The lip around the outside needs to be a bit higher. Also needs a small drain thru the edge lip. When you cook chops it fills up the plate....

Been eyeing off this for a while and current sale made it a no brainer and finally like others have said, I can cook up a storm even when the wind's howling, and it doesn't guzzle power like a thirsty bloke at a pub. It heats up quickly, though it’s not quite a ‘proper grill,’ but it gets the job done, coming from a weber baby q this is a great compromise even at home. The only issue is the heat doesn’t spread to the sides as much as I’d like. The grill’s a bit convex, so things tend to slide to the edge, super easy to clean which is a bonus.
