“Pleasantly surprised and very happy with this 3 way 12v DC socket splitter! I was having issues with signal interference running multiple 2.4ghz wireless camera monitors on the dash of my truck. I was using a 4 way splitter from Jaycar and it seemed to work fine. I tried replacing antennas and even purchasing expensive gme branded antenna, moving the screens around to alternative positions and then I realised it was the splitter after plugging in the most problematic monitor direct to the OEM dash socket which eliminated the issue immediately but that didn't solve my new issue of needing to power multiple devices at onc time.
After some quick research I stumbled upon Kickass and had a browse over their products, to be honest I was very sceptical and almost didn't purchase this splitter because the price concerned me, not because I thought it was too expensive though but rather that I thought it was too cheap and probably not going to eliminate my problem but I figured I'd just get it and see what happens. Let me tell you, problem SOLVED! I'm super happy with this thing, not only for solving that issue I was having but also for the quality and bang for buck.
Build quality is very nice, plastic? Yes but decently moulded and put together very well and feels sturdy.
It comes with a mount too, so you can remove it and take it with you if need be without "uninstalling" it and then come back later and click it back into its home super easily.
There is 3 individually switched lighter sockets in this splitter and while the previous splitter I was using had 4 I'm not at a loss at all by losing 1 with this splitter because it also comes with 4 USB slots (2x USB-A 2.4A, 1X USB-A QC3.0 and 1X USB-C PD30W) and realistically in 2025 more of your devices will be plug and play with a USB cable unless you have a fridge or maybe a navigation system or other device that has a hard wired lighter socket plug the average user might not even need to use more than maybe 1 socket if that. This thing is a little "overkill" and I LOVE it and the individual switches for the lighter sockets is an awesome feature that should be mandatory on all splitters.
If there is 1 thing if like to see added to this splitter in the future it would be those little rubber dust protector plugs that go into the sockets when you don't have a device plugged in, this is actually not a big deal and only a recommendation as I have found that with the inclusion of the 4x USB ports I have a vacant socket now because I am using the USB-C PD30W with my quad lock phone dock for wireless charging because it isuch more convenient that having a USB lighter socket adaptor for me.
I also ordered a 12v DC lighter socket extension cable and while I don't actually need to use it I have plugged that into one of the auxiliary sockets under the bunk of my Kenworth as an alternative point of power for anything else I may want to use just to try and reduce the chances of any electrical noise interference that may be introduced by other devices, this is only because my monitors are super picky about the quality of power they receive but the cable feels premium the plug feels sturdy and it even has an led volt metre with a master switch at the base of the socket so you can remove power without unplugging.
To be perfectly honest I'm exceptionally happy with my purchase and I can't see myself ever purchasing a 12v DC splitter from any one else ever again, well done Kickass”
