“This replaced my BCF Wanderer oven, which was OK but would only draw 6.8 amps and was pretty slow. The Kickass draws 11.8 amps (so actually around 150W) and heats up way faster. The light switch is actually more useful than you might think, I was surprised. The manual “On” setting is good as I’ve wired it directly to my RoadPower fuse box/ switch panel, so can turn it on from the drivers seat to preheat. Very happy.”
“Oven itself works ok, probably no better or worse than other similar products, but the tray with trivet is extremely tight to get on (from new) and has to be forced in, hopefully this will ease up over time. Contacted Kickass over this matter and after a week with no response contacted again only to be asked to supply a video of the problem, which had already been supplied with original contact. So, oven ok, but backup/cutomer service is terrible.”
“The Travel oven seems to be made reasonably well.
The trivet is probably a bit overboard on thickness/weight.
I haven't had th opportunity to try it out yet.
I'm sure it will be good, but the weight is definitely an issue if you are trying to keep weight to a minimum.”
