“Great value loft ladder (only £80) for irregular access through a retricted size loft hatch. Very light and easy to install, it took around 45 minutes. Fitted it to a Loftzone 18mm chipboard storage floor, 2.4m floor to ceiling and 2.8m floor to the deck height. I kept the original 700x500mm plastic (with 100mm polystyrene insulation) loft hatch. Fitted it slightly to one side of the hatch with the grab rail on that side to maximize the space available, I did not attach the existing loft hatch to the ladder to keep it simple. Very easy to use and very light to raise and lower although the initial pull to lower it needs a bit of practice to get it moving easily without over stressing the plastic hook on the ladder pole. Great value if you need a lightweight ladder for irregular loft access. May be too lightweight for some as it has rungs around 300mm wide and only weighs around 6kg.”
“The ladders are not to the quality promised by this company. Think that the new ownership have downgraded the items produced since buying the name Werner. The ladder steps are NOT wide as advertised and are painful to the feet to climb, one is forced to wear hard soled shoes! The overall build quality is nothing like the old Werner loft ladder that I had installed in my previous property. This is a big disappointment!”
