“I chose the TP1 over the TP plus 2 as from the specs the TP1 had an extra 4cm in max height (80cm vs 76cm). Very good caluclated decision, as the rise on my stairs are shy over 20cm. The TP1 had a slightly angle downwards, which initially made me wary, especially as I used a step ladder on top. This thing is sold, just make sure it is locked properly and fully extended. The depth of each step is 22.5 and 77cm wide. This spans 4 steps and fit snugly. Be careful with the catches as they can damage the bannister wood upon removal in such a tight space. I weigh 89kg and this took my weight fine.
My only issue, and this is not a con of the platform, is that if you drop a screw or forget a tool that is downstairs, unless you are a climber, you have to dismantle to whole set up to go downstairs if you are doing things by yourself.
Managed to change a light fixture that was put in the most obscure position. Platform will definitely come useful in the future. Set up is esy and self explanatory. And if I do need the platform away from the stairs, I can just use a chair to support the other end. Recommend.”
