“I was not satisfied with this course and did not leave feeling I was prepared to use Captivate. The first half of the first day was helpful, but it seemed to go downhill from there. On the second day, the instructor admitted that "it was rocky at points" and that he was having a "bad day". Another attendee chatted with me that he also felt the course was disjointed. After the first half of the first day, it felt more like a Captivate demo/look what you can do with Captivate rather than a training on how to learn and use Captivate. As a trainer myself and someone who is a quick learner, it was difficult to keep asking "Should we be following along with you or just watching?" There were many times where I had to ask, "How did you get there?" It felt like he was showing us how to do something while doing it on his own but not telling us the why behind the action, semi-mumbling through the demo, and not checking with attendees for understanding. I hope to learn more in the advanced class.”
