“The class was very comprehensive in the solid modeling department , engineers, draftsman, Cad guys would all find it helpful. However, one of the bullet point items in the class description on the ledet website states : "Use the 3D print workflows to create a rapid prototype or the CAM workspace to create toolpaths to machine components" This is not in the curriculum, so it wasnt taught, as a machinist; this is what I was hoping to glean from the class but it did not happen. I wish Ledet would adjust the curriculum to include more manufacturing, both CNC and additive, and move some of the more intricate modeling to a 200 level class, or possibly just add an optional 4th day to the class for machining. I would have liked to have learned some of the manufacturing concepts from Davin because he was an excellent instructor. There was at least one other machinist in our class and I think he was a little disappointed that we didnt cover making toolpath.”
