“When I bought my PRS Silver Sky from another music store in Adelaide, the knobs were not put on the shafts straight - it looked OK but didnt feel right - I went on tour through North Queensland in tropical conditions for five months. My OCD took over and I decided to replace the knobs. On closer inspection all three knobs had hairline cracks. In my opinion the replacements are way overpriced at $50 for a set of three but I had no choice other than replace them. Modern Music were very helpful and exedited the supply by shipping from the Melbourne PRS distributor. However when i recieved the replacement knobs some of the numbers were missing from the knob flange - not the sort of quality you would expect from PRS and expensive to boot. Modern Music were amazing to deal with ordering and expediting replacements from the supplier. In short I have nothing but praise for Modern Music and I am disillusioned with PRS. I love PRS guitars and have seven of them in my studio that are incredable instruments I would hate to think that they are starting to slacken off with their quality control.”
