“I was searching for a barebones portable MIDI controller, with a high quality hammer action, and the Korg D1 checked both boxes. While the onboard sounds are OK, they don't compare to a VST like Pianoteq, which I'm always using. Note that the included pedal doesn't support half damping (though one that does is available separately). If I were to nitpick, I wish that the three-digit LED display for the metronome could be turned off. Otherwise, it's a great keyboard for this price point.”
