“This scent brings to mind the almost violent petrichor of hot pavement and earth meeting belting rain. There's an intensely pleasant earthiness here, deeply masculine, with a tinge of something powerful and complex that I like to think is lightning.
I bought both this one and the 'Petrichor', wondering at the difference, and it's quite pronounced. If 'Petrichor' brings to mind a gentle shower over a lush, green field, 'Thunderstorm' brings to mind a raging rainstorm over a city, with much stronger pavement and earth notes, and an assertive prominence. Forget subtle, this is a scent which cannot be ignored.”
“thunderstorm smells a tiny bit like wet/freshly mowed grass when you first apply it, however, it wears so well and becomes a more intense, quite masculine fragrance. it really does remind you of wild weather!”
“This is really such a deep and fascinating scent. Initially it is quite masculine, but it soon develops layers of freshly cut grass and wet dirt, not a soggy earth kind of smell, but when the rain hits warm soil/pavement. The grass scent is quite strong, i wanted a more petrichor smell but I want to blend this with bonfire, so i get the nostalgia of cuddling up with a book in front of a fireplace during a storm! Otherwise it's a lovely scent definitely recommend!”
“Love the scent. Almost masculine at first spray. Was hoping it would be a bit more ozonic and heavy, but I love the smell of rain especially during summer. You can smell the freshness as the rain hits the ground and sizzles before the sky breaks open. Almost has a watermelon note to it, but I think my nose is playing tricks on me.
Don't be afraid to purchase this one, it will ignite some sort of nostalgia for you.”
