These chickens are flighty. I bought 3. One is white, the flightiest. The other is orange, I call her Donna Trump because she looks like she has a comb over. The 3rd is black and white, she's the friendliest. At least I did get blue and green eggs from 2. They were really late to start laying. 1 month older than all my other chickens and were the last to lay. If I hadn't gotten blue or green eggs, I would have been disappointed all around with them. I know they are mutts, I did get them for the novelty.

Thank you, Jennifer, for your thoughtful review of the Easter Eggers! When it comes to egg size and rates, there can be many factors that play into your flock's production to include environment such as the amount of daylight they are getting (this is especially true during the fall and winter months) as well as their feed and also, their age. Their first year of egg production often will produce eggs that are not as big but the next season, they are more to their expected medium size for this breed of chickens. When it comes to their being a bit flighty, check to see if there are any types of stressors such perhaps a bullying hen, enough space or even something that is subtle to us but disturbing to the girls such as neighbor's barking dog. Please let us know if we can assist you with any questions or concerns as My Pet Chicken is always happy to help!

Hestia the EE arrived chirping loudly after two days (from Ohio to KS) and in a nice, heated box. She acclimated very quickly to her brooder and was the first to figure out how to drink. Hestia was the sweetest chick from my first order in June, she used to throw a tantrum until I would cuddle her before bed. She's gotten a bit more skittish as she's aged, but once she is being held, she relaxes for cuddles. Hestia gets along great with her flockmates, though she can occasionally be a bit of a bully to the smallest in the flock (nothing too aggressive though). At 4.5 months old, she isn't laying just yet, but is starting to check out the nesting boxes. I had a great experience raising her from a chick, and would recommend this breed and company to anyone.

I ordered two female Easter egger chicks they arrived safe and sound and warm which I was so thrilled about I was so worried they would have died during shipment but and beyond impressed with the packaging and extra care provided for these little babies I am so thankful and happy with them thank you ! Will definitely recommend your company to friends and family.

This is a beautiful bird - she actually looks like a hawk. She fits into the middle of the flock and gets along with all my other birds, but is often off foraging on her own. She lays a beautiful blue egg every day and doesn't mind being handled. Even though she's not the top of the flock, she fiercely guards the coop door when the girls are settling in for the night.
